Vintage 1950's Pink & Cream Square Floral Plates Made by The Steubenville Pottery Company of Steubenville, Ohio in Very Good Condition.
A rare and beautiful set of four; 7 1/4" square luncheon, salad, appetizer or dessert plates. Each glazed ceramic plate
has rounded corners with a solid pink border that is surrounded by thin, gold-plated pin striping and features a cream-colored center with full-color array of fruit (a peach, plum and grapes), flowers and leaves. Between the pink border & cream-colored center there is a delicate, hand-painted design of small, Fleur-de-lis like symbols with a tiny circular pattern. The bottoms are all stamped:
Steubenville; Made in U.S.A.
Super pretty vintage plates that are perfect for use & would be fun for serving snacks or dessert on though they would also look wonderful a retro kitchen decor, displayed on a wall.
Measures 7 1/4" square x 5/8" H, set weighs 2.8 lbs.
Regarding shipping - we'll package these beauties with lots of bubble wrap and packing peanuts to ensure their safe delivery to you.
Note (images/condition) - no chips, cracks or repairs though two of the plates shows crazing (1 moderate & 1 heavy). The 1 plate with heavy crazing also has color-loss to the floral center image and discoloration with patina throughout (though it is perfectly functional).
