Pope Gosser Rose Point bowl - marked Made in USA - Steubenville

Description

The Pope Gosser company opened in 1902-3.  They developed a reputation for high quality goods and elegant designs with some of their pieces winding up in the British Museum.  It's difficult to date this piece since the company changed backstamps with some frequency.  This stamp includes both the wreath and the Made in the USA marks.  There is a tiny chip under the rim (called a flea bite) which is reflected in the price.
