Rebuilt Sheffield, Giddings & Lewis Hexagon XYZ Reader Head with 90 Day Warranty .
This reader head can be used on all Sheffield CMMs with metric scales denoted by the white dot on the leading edge of the glass.
Please advise if you have a black dot indicating standard scales for your application. We have those in stock as well.
These reader heads are typically found on all Apollo series CMMs as well as 1808 and 1805 series machines.
You will typically find the black dot reader heads on older Cordax series machines such as the 1000, 3000, 5000, 7000, 803 etc.
If you were to purchase this same unit from Hexagon your cost would be more than triple the cost and it would come with no warranty if the factory did not perform the installation.
