    Description

Listed here is a used GeneAmp PCR System 9700 Dual 96 Well.  This unit has a total of 192 wells combined.  The unit powers up successfully and heats up as expected.  I didn't do very much to test, though when doing a temperature verification the cover heated up 1C above the target temperature, meaning that this unit might need a calibration.  This unit otherwise appears to be in working condition.  It was produced in 2004 and has come from a university setting.  There is some scratches on the vents of the right side of the machine (picture 5).  Also, the right plate that closes on top of the right well block is slightly loose as shown in the pictures (picture 8).  It was a lot more loose before but I tightened it up (the screw on the front is the loose one) - It may need to be tightened more but it didn't seem to affect the performance of the temperature test I ran.  You get the exact unit(s) seen in the pictures.
