GTSM AUTHENTICITY HOLOGRAM STICKER THAT WAS AFFIXED TO THIS ITEM WAS APPARENTLY NOT ATTACHED VERY WELL ORIGINALLY, AND THUS IT FELL OFF WHILE REMOVING THE JERSEY FROM THE BAG IN WHICH IT CAME. WHEN THIS HAPPENED, THE STICKER STUCK TO THE FLOOR AND WHEN WE ATTEMPTED TO LIFT IT IN ORDER TO REPLACE IT ONTO THE JERSEY, IT BECAME DAMAGED. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THESE STICKERS ARE DESIGNED TO DO SO THAT NO ONE ATTEMPTS TO REMOVE THEM ON PURPOSE. THEY ARE DESIGNED TO BE "TAMPER-PROOF". THEREFORE, THE DECISION WAS MADE TO LEAVE THE STICKER OFF OF THE JERSEY INSTEAD OF REPLACING IT IN ITS DAMAGED STATE. Most come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from one of the handful of “reputable” authentication companies (PSA, JSA, Beckett, GTSM, etc.), however, unless the signature was obtained in-person (which will be specified in the description) or signed at an event witnessed by a 3rd party representative, then any form of “COA” is simply someone else’s opinion as to whether or not the autograph is actually authentic. With that in mind, please note that I am not only an autograph dealer but also a 30+ year collector myself, so I do not waste time buying or selling fake memorabilia. The best and most cost-effective way to “authenticate” an autograph that you are interested in purchasing is to take the time to educate yourself, then carefully compare the signature to known “signed-in-person” exemplars, and then make the decision for yourself. Forgers have been around forever, and it is nearly impossible at times to know whether a signature is real or not, but if more people would take a stand against the crooks, perhaps we could clean up the business somewhat and make it more fun for everyone.
(E) Refund Policy for Lost or Stolen Items: If you do not receive your item within 15 days of the time of purchase, you must enter a “non-received item” case with eBay. This will enable your particular issue to be officially tracked by eBay.
