From my folks' collections. My mom collected a lot of Russel Wright - boxes of it - glass and ceramic. This is a pitcher in the American Modern pattern by Steubenville. It's about 10 5/8 inches tall and looks very nice. I don't know if this is brown or chutney. It has a speckled glaze. The speckles are dark brown, a light brown and a red brown, and they create a rich color. I gave some close-ups of the glaze.
It is in very nice condition. It has a few small scratches and a 1/32nd of an inch what I think is a glaze pop. See the last photo for a close-up of the glaze pop (and a close-up of the glaze colors) . The pop is about 2 inches from the base of the vase. No chips or cracks or crazing. The inside looks clean. When I unpacked the vase it had some places I found some really tiny specks of paint that looked like the pitcher was on a shelf near someone painting. There were about 15 of them which I flecked off with my fingernail and some denatured alcohol. It is possible I missed a couple because they are so tiny they are hard to see - but they come off. The pictures also show reflections - these are not chips.
