ABI 9700 60-Well PCR Thermal Cycler Calibrated and TNU Tested

The ABI 9700 series of thermal cyclers have been a workhorse of the genetic research field
since 1995. Used in the Human Genome Project to divide and multiply DNA it continues to be
one of the most popular cyclers on the market, even though ABI ceased production and support
in 2015. Not to worry though, because Certified Scientific has taken up where ABI left off, and
continues to rebuild and even improve 9700s for institutions worldwide. We provide service and
technical support for all lines of the 9700s, and have every type of block available for these on
hand and ready to ship.
This particular machine features a 60-well block. It has been calibrated back to OEM standards,
and we ran a 24pt TNU test where it scored .25 @ 94°C and .20 @ 37°C. We replaced the peltiers
with new ones and checked the heatsink and block sensors. We ran Final Test to check the heated
cover and cycling times. All testing paperwork will be included with this unit, and we offer a 60-day
guarantee with every cycler we sell.
This is not  your average 9700 sold elsewhere. Sure you can buy cyclers cheaper on Ebay or online
but you have a good chance you'll end up with a box of rocks that is unusable. Most others you can
find do not have a warranty, and you'd be lucky with the age of these machines to get one online that
even passes TNU or the testing we perform. We stand behind our work.
We take great care in shipping with these, boxing them in doublewall cardboard lined with 2" foam
rubber. The power cord is included, whether for 115V or euro 220V. If requested, the User's Manual on
