The Arcade, erected in 1828, serves as a passage way between two Streets. It is a large granite building in the couie style, with a glass covered central court. The interior is divided into three floors of twenty-six stores each, and as it is a much frequented thoroughfare, it is a favorite place for detail stores, especially millinery and fancy good concerns.
