    Description

This Lei truly has to be seen to be believed. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity and an Appraisal by an Oahu Gemologist for ,000 with information on your lei. In addition is a description and history of the craft with leimakers name.
This lei is a VERY high luster 3-strand long 44" incredible quality piece made with Pikake style sections of deep grey RARE ULI ULI shells, and Poe Poe sewn sections of Kahelelani Akala Pua (flower pink), Makue (burgundy), Ula Ula (red, burgundy), LenaLena and Ke'oke'o Kamoa, Ele Ele (dark brown, black) and UliUli (deep grey) with accents of Kaha Kaha (gold striped) momi. This piece is finished with a traditional gem grade single cowry clasp.
We call this lei "Big Blue" because the depth of the Uli Uli shells took years to collect and having worn it only once, made a huge statement at the wedding it attended. The design and execution is only comparable to master stringers. The work is incredible and the love put in is absolutely amazing. Excellent quality.
This item was made in Hawaii, and is at least 80% Niihau shell. The actual percentage of Niihau shell in this item is 100%. Made by a member of the Ni'ihau Ohana.
